Wagons and crossovers have long been a part of the Volvo lineup. Each year, it seems as if each model just gets better as new technology and safety features are created by the brand. Today we would like validate this statement by giving you a quick preview of the new Volvo XC70. The wagon comes with a handful of new improvements for the 2014 model year that are quite noteworthy.

The traditional body shape continues to exist in the iconic wagon. At Volvo of the Triad, we are sure many of our customers wouldn't have it any other way. Seeing how there will be large changes to its counterparts, the XC60 and XC90 over the next few years, Volvo decided it would be a good thing to maintain its iconic look.

Now on to the 2014 upgrades. In the vehicles interior there's a modern TFT instrument panel and a new touchscreen equipped with Sensus Connected Touch. The automatic transmission also has been updated along with the Polestar engine generating impressive amounts of versatility and power.

Exterior updates provide a new look to the wheels and grille. The grille now features safety sensors that fit in the left side of the Volvo badging making them virtually unnoticeable. LED lighting fixtures were also added to the new XC70, and are equipped with daytime running lights, a high-beam reflector, and dual-xenon lamps.
